About low carbon banking

From October 2006 Entec met with a number of banks and key stakeholders to discuss the risks and opportunities of carbon.  Our report ‘Low Carbon Banking’ was published in June 2007, which provided an overview of the role banks can play in the move towards a low carbon economy.

Our aim is to raise the profile of how banks can play a positive role in the journey towards a low carbon economy, including the opportunities for the sector. We hope this website will:

1. provide information that may improve your case for action
2. challenge you on incorporating carbon decisions in business strategy development
3. suggest how you could move forward on some of the bigger challenges
4. encourage you to talk to us more

If you would like to talk to us about the project, our findings or how to address some of the carbon challenges facing your organisation please contact us.
