Principal Consultant Joins Risk and Safety Management Team

Entec has appointed Mark Hopwood as a Principal Consultant based in the Northwich office. Mark will focus on managing risk and safety projects in the chemical, oil, gas and power sectors for a range of industrial clients.

Mark is both a chartered chemist and a chartered chemical engineer with vast experience in the chemical industry. He joins Entec from Shepherd Chemicals where he was a Product Specialist. Before that he spent 17 years with Rhodia where he was a Loss Prevention Manager responsible for process risk assessments, HAZOP, COMAH, IPPC, Safety and Environment management systems. He also has particular expertise in characterising and mitigating chemical reaction hazards.

Prior to this Mark managed process development in fine chemicals before spending several years with Rhodia at their technical centre in Lyon as a process safety specialist.
