Press Release
Associate Director Joins Strategy and Procurement Team
Issue date: 28 September 2006
Entec has appointed Gary Donoghue as an Associate Director based in the Northwich office. Gary will aim to develop new business in the regional and local government sector, with specific focus on waste tracking software and the potential cost benefits that this can offer to local authorities, while also providing support on service provision and assistance with waste strategy options.
Gary formerly worked for Manchester City Council where he was head of waste management with the main area of his remit being to design, fund, deliver and ensure the smooth running of all refuse and recycling services, while meeting all statutory legislation and targets. He was also responsible for increasing the profile of Manchester City Council throughout Greater Manchester, the North West and nationally.
Ken Rigby, Technical Director with Entec said “Gary will add significant experience to our resource group dealing with local authorities. He has considerable knowledge of the interface issues between collection and disposal authorities which is key to understanding the risks which need to be managed. This will be particularly important as the new wave of PFI contracts are implemented and contract monitoring becomes critical to ensuring VFM is delivered.”
