Water Management Team Expands

Entec has appointed Steve Anderton as a Principal Consultant based in the Newcastle office. He will take on the role of developing Entec’s hydrology business in both the North East and Scotland , while also participating in wider project management roles.

Steve has a PhD in modelling snowmelt in mountainous areas, and almost 15 years’ work experience as a qualified hydrologist. He has spent the last 5 years as a senior hydrologist for SEPA at their East Kilbride office where he was involved in hydrometric network management, water resources evaluation and the development of flood warning schemes.

Prior to this Steve worked for Newcastle and Durham Universities as a researcher developing modelling systems for the simulation of water flow, sediment and contaminant transport in river catchments.

Dr Shaun Salmon, Associate Director with Entec said: “With his mix of technical and management skills, Steve is a valuable addition to the ever-growing Entec water management team in Newcastle upon Tyne . He will help lead our delivery of high quality, cost effective consultancy advice in regard to hydrology and related projects, especially those associated with water resources, flood risk assessment, and environmental impact assessment”.
