Associate Director Expands Entec's Archaeological Team

Entec has appointed Ken Whittaker as an Associate Director based in the London office. Ken provides Entec with the opportunity to strengthen and develop the existing historic environment service, which currently includes planning and regulatory guidance matters, contributions to environmental impact assessments, the design and management of archaeological investigations and the provision of historic analytical skills to support landscape architects and urban designers.
He joins Entec from AOC Archaeology Group where he was director of business development leading an historic environment consultant team. Before that he spent time working for RPS Planning Transport and Environment and Gifford & Partners Consulting Engineers.
Ken has over 20 years’ professional experience in both the public and private sector, managing complex historic environment issues and resolving significant risks affecting major infrastructure developments and PFI schemes. Projects he has been involved in include excavations of the in situ Lower Palaeolithic remains at Harnham in Wiltshire and the Iron Age chariot burial at Ferrybridge in West Yorkshire .
