Scottish Water framework appointment for Entec

Entec has been appointed to a major framework agreement with Scottish Water to assist in the delivery of its £2.4bn investment programme for the period 2006 to 2010, one of the largest investment programmes per customer ever undertaken in the water industry in Britain. The programme consists of more than 2000 projects across Scotland to maintain and improve water and waste water systems and allow increased capacity at water and waste water treatment works.

Entec will provide consultancy services in three specific areas: procurement and programme management, programme delivery support and catchment management planning. Under the terms of the framework Entec will also provide services to Scottish Water Solutions, the unique partnership between Scottish Water and two consortia UUGM (United Utilities, Morgan Est, Galliford Try) and Stirling Water (Thames Water, Gleeson, Alfred McAlpine, KBR).

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Kerr, Scottish Water’s Partnership & Procurement Manager said: “Scottish Water welcomes Entec to its Consultancy Support Services team. Their capacity to efficiently deliver their proportion of the capital investment programme for each of the frameworks for which they have been successful will go a long way in supporting Scottish Water in delivering its Capital Programme Outputs (benefits to customers) to promised timescales and within budget.”
