Entec ‘Highly Commended’ at PPF Awards
Issue date: 8th June 2007
Entec has been highly commended in the Best Technical Adviser category of the Public Private Finance (PPF) Awards 2007. The PPF Awards recognise and reward projects and teams making a real difference on a local and national level and are geared to reflect and celebrate schemes which promise to transform public service delivery in the UK.
In recognising work on significant and challenging projects the judges commented that "An important and innovative adviser in the defence sector, Entec is commended for its appreciation of the principles and benefits of Smart procurement".
The specific case studies presented to the judges related to Entec's role as technical adviser to Project MoDEL and Project Allenby/Connaught. Both of these projects were short-listed for recognition at the Awards ceremony in their own right with Project MoDEL lifting the Judges Award for Innovation as well as the Best Public Sector Project Team.
The judges went on to praise Entec's development in relation to collaborative working and long term relationships by highlighting that: "The firm has honed its project management and technical skills to meet the evolving needs of the defence sector, delivered with a commitment to quality and in the spirit of partnership".
Entec Director Iain Findlay who attended the ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London also recognised the achievement: "We are delighted with the commendation in recognition of our work as technical advisers on often complex, multiple stakeholder PPF projects. Particularly pleasing is the recognition of the projects in the broadest sense which highlights the benefits of integrated working within the project team to ensure the realisation of benefits. We look forward to continuing to innovate and challenge traditional solutions to the benefit of our Clients and project stakeholders."
