Entec Appoints New Planning Associate Director

Entec has appointed Alan Chaplin as planning associate director at the Reading office. Alan will play a key role in helping lead Entec’s expanding planning business in the south east and south west, focussing on strategic planning, regional and local government and property
Alan formerly worked for DPDS Consulting Group where he was responsible for a wide variety of planning and development projects for both public sector and private sector clients, including local authorities, the Crown Estate and national housebuilders. Prior to that, Alan was at North Wiltshire District Council where he was responsible for the publication of eight Local Plans as Assistant Chief Planning Officer/Head of Forward Planning.
Alan has extensive experience in planning and has a particular expertise in development plan and development control matters, including public inquiry and examination work.
Entec’s Planning Director, Clive Harridge said: “We are continuing
to grow our planning resources and Alan’s appointment is part of that
expansion. His experience will be invaluable in helping us to continue our
successful expansion in the south.”
