Press Release
Entec Appoints Associate Director in Regulatory Compliance

Issue date: 25 February 2005

Christine Hemming has joined Entec as an Associate Director based in the London office. Working within Entec’s Environmental, Health and Safety group, she will focus on the interface between regulatory compliance and environmental management systems, helping clients deliver compliance assurance and performance improvement through their environmental management systems.

Christine formerly worked for EMAG Ltd as a Director where she project managed the implementation of environmental management systems at a large number of sites and businesses. Recent experience has led her to prepare and present a business case for, and a best practice guide to, sustainable development for the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, as part of a sustainable development strategy and work with the Environment Agency to develop regulatory training packages.

Prior to this Christine worked for PA Consulting Group where she led groundbreaking pilot projects on Eco-Labelling and on the European Eco-Management and Auditing Scheme (EMAS).

Entec’s Director, Tony Baron said: “Christine is a welcome addition to the regulatory compliance group as she brings with her a wealth of knowledge in regulatory compliance and environmental management systems. The combination of these skills will be particularly relevant to those companies whose activities are regulated under IPPC, as the regulator seeks to improve their environmental performance and assure compliance with permit conditions”.
