Award Winning Planning Team Expands

Entec has appointed Mary Campbell as a Principal Consultant based in the Gosforth office. She will take over responsibility for managing the team of planners who provide planning and strategic environmental assessment advice to clients in private and public sectors with interests in property, regeneration, utilities and energy sectors amongst others. Mary’s own technical expertise will also be focused on extending Entec’s range of activities in support of the minerals and waste sector.
Mary has joined Entec from Northumberland County Council Planning Section where she managed the minerals, waste and development control team. In this role she was responsible for minerals and waste policy, determination of county planning applications and all planning applications in the Northumberland National Park.
Prior to this Mary worked for Newcastle University as a lecturer/researcher and more recently as technical secretary of the North East Region Aggregates Working Party where she provided advice to the North East Assembly on minerals and waste issues.
Paul Reaston Entec’s Technical Director in charge of the planning and environmental appraisal team for the North of England and Scotland, said: “Mary’s appointment marks a further step change in our capability.
