Press Release
Defence Estates Appoints Entec as Technical Advisor to the Aquatrine Partnering Management Organisation

Issue date: 22 June 2006

Entec has been appointed to the Specialist Term Commission to provide technical support to the Aquatrine Partnering Management Organisation. Aquatrine comprises three PFI (Private Finance Initiative) contracts to supply water and wastewater services to over 4000 MOD sites across Great Britain. The framework will run for the next three years and will be used to provide water engineering, performance and measurement advice across the three Aquatrine contracts.

Entec will work in partnership with Defence Estates to implement best practice across the service provision and will cement the partnership through the development of a Partnering Charter. The appointment recognises Entec’s experience not only in the defence estate (which has recently included appointment as sole provider of environmental consultancy services to Defence Estates) but also in the provision of environmental and engineering services to water companies.

Entec’s Commission Director, Richard McLaren, said, “We are delighted to be able to undertake the role of technical advisers to Defence Estates on this pioneering PFI contract. Not only does this build upon our experience within the development of the defence estate but the commission recognises our core capabilities in the provision of services to the water sector. I am personally working with the PMO leader to develop our Partnering Charter which we hope will act as a beacon in the application of close working relationships and skills transfer.”
