Entec on Course to Meet Strategic Goals

Entec’s performance results for 2002 show we are on track to meet our strategic performance targets set for 2005. Through a successful strategy of organic growth, turnover for 2002 has increased by 9% to £33.4m, with an operating profit of 3.1%. This growth is in line with our target of reaching £45m turnover by 2005.

Recruitment is at the heart of Entec's organic growth strategy with the aim of recruiting and retaining the best people. Encouraging signs include a net increase of 69 staff in 2002 across a wide spectrum of disciplines and skill areas. This took the total permanent staff count to 537 by the end of 2002 and by the end of May 2003 this had increased further to 562.

The growth has enabled us to open a new office in Reading, increasing the office network to 10, and to move to larger premises in Crawley with plans for further expansion currently being considered.

Our customer feedback process has also returned excellent results, with yet another yearly increase in the overall customer satisfaction score from 8.1 out of 10 in 2001 to 8.3 in 2002. Commercial Director, Doug Morton, says: “In terms of what our customers think of our service and performance, this result is excellent, and shows that we are on course for achieving overall customer delight. The challenge is to continue the good progress being made in the coming year and beyond.”
