Entec is Royal Town Planning Institute's
Planning Consultancy of the Year

Entec has won the Royal Town Planning Institute's Planning Consultancy of the Year Award 2004. The award was announced at a celebratory lunch at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 3rd February which was attended by a wide cross-section of the planning community and senior government representatives. The judges had shortlisted four finalists: Entec, Llewelyn Davies, DTZ Pieda Consulting and Tellus 42 in the Sole Practitioner category. In addition to Entec's success, Llewelyn Davies and Tellus 42 received commendations.

The panel of judges commented that:

"Entec scores highly for stakeholder consultation, skills development, ability to respond to the changing planning agenda, promotion of quality of life, client appreciation and commitment to dissemination of learning. The firm is committed to and excited by the planning task. Its planning team is capable of dealing with a huge range of tasks, bringing the same expertise to small-scale projects and national policy analysis. It also has a strategy to respond to the planning reforms. Staff development and training and client relations are first rate."

Also noted were our long-standing relationships with blue-chip clients like the Crown Estate, Defence Estates and BAA, and our innovation in areas such as strategic environmental assessment, sustainability appraisal, the links between community strategies and local development frameworks, and the environmental impact of increasing housing supply.
