Entec Secures Planning Permission for Middlehaven Masterplan
RTPI Planning Consultancy of the Year Entec has secured planning
permission for Tees
Valley Regeneration (themselves agents for English Partnerships) for the Middlesbrough
Dock Basin redevelopment, which forms Phase 1 of the Middlehaven masterplan.
The proposals were for a mixed use scheme comprising residential, leisure,
hotel, commercial and educational uses in addition to the necessary infrastructure
and public realm works.
Entec prepared a planning statement, environmental statement and flood risk assessment, with sub-consultant Denis Wilson Partnership completing a transport assessment. Early consultation with all stakeholders and consultees ensured the application ran smoothly culminating in Committee approval in May 2005.
James Hall, Director at Entec said "We are proud to support Tees Valley Regeneration with this and other exciting flagship regeneration schemes and have been hugely impressed with the way they are bringing forward complex sites so quickly. Middlehaven promises to be a high quality, integrated, sustainable development that brings great benefits to the sub-region, as demonstrated in the supporting information to the planning application."
