Entec Conference on the Water Act
This one day conference titled ‘Getting in on the Act – understanding the future of sustainable water management’ was held on 11th October 2005 at the Royal College of Physicians in Central London and was aimed at those affected by The Water Act.
Organised by Entec in partnership with Terence Dalton Limited, the conference presented how the implementation of the Water Act 2003 intends to achieve its goals through its various measures, how these would affect various sectors, and provided an insight into the perspective views of government, the regulators and other stakeholders on the implications of the Act for them. It also offered delegates the opportunity to hear and question leading industry professionals on a range of issues surrounding the implementation of the Act.
Entec’s Maurice Hoban presented a paper to the conference entitled ‘Why measure sustainability? … the act, the activist and the analyst’. Other speakers at the conference included Dr David King from the Environment Agency, Tony Smith of OFWAT and Simon van der Byl, of Quarry Products Association.
Entec
