Entec at Letsrecycle.com Seminar
Entec’s Dr Geoff Sampson is to speak at the letsrecycle.com seminar on ‘Alternate Week Collections – the pros and the cons’ on 21st September 2005, at the Glaziers Hall, London Bridge, London. The seminar examines the potential and actual benefits offered by Alternate Weekly Collections (AWC), the potential drawbacks and the best way to implement a scheme.
Dr Sampson will be discussing the high-profile guidance document produced by Entec and recently launched by WRAP (the Waste and Resources Action Programme). The guidance has been developed to help those local authorities considering introducing alternate week collections of refuse and recyclable materials.
The seminar will also feature speakers from a number of local authorities
that currently use the AWC scheme, as well as a presentation from Defra. It
is expected that the seminar will appeal to local authorities, waste management
companies, vehicle suppliers, CA site operators, compost specialists, engineering
companies and waste management consultants
