OGCbuying.solutions Environmental Framework

With effect from 1st October 2005, Entec has been appointed to the OGCbuying.solutions Environmental Framework. This Framework is for the provision of multi-disciplinary professional and technical services to enable the provision of advice, guidance, assistance and support in the practical implementation of environmental advice, support and delivery across the public sector. The services range from single projects, reports, surveys, assessments or inspections through to strategic assessments, planning and implementation.

How has Entec responded to the requirement?

OGCbuying.solutions stated a requirement for 29 service offerings (see end of this document for details). Our strategy for meeting this requirement was to address all 29 services and also offer 11 additional services which we felt added to the potential requirements of customers.

The key approach to the response was:

• Consistent method statements for all services;
• Identification of all key and supporting resources;
• A pricing structure which applied across all services;
• Framework management to work with OGCbuying.solutions to achieve best practice; and
• A publicity/awareness campaign to advertise the Framework.

Who is entitled to use the Framework?

The basic rule is that customers must be an organisation or authority which is funded wholly or mainly from the public purse, whether central or local government, or registered charity. This includes MoD, DfES, Defra, DTI, ODPM, NHS, Home Office, emergency services, all local government, and all educational establishments.
