Entec at the 2002 BURA Conference
Entec was one of the main sponsors at the recent British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) “Regeneration for Real: Results not Rhetoric” conference held at the International Centre for Life in Newcastle. The conference covered a wide range of regeneration issues including new ideas in policy and best practice, and took forward many themes covered at the Government’s Urban Summit at the end of October.
Included in the 2-day event were study visits, talks and workshops plus an evening dinner. The study visits consisted of north-eastern regeneration projects, including the Grainger Town Project in Newcastle, the Ouseburn Urban Village project and the Riverside developments along both banks of the Tyne.
Entec was represented at the event with director Clive Harridge amongst the speakers and technical director John Pomfret presenting on the Ouseburn study visit.
