All Quiet on the Knutsford Front!

On 31 May 2003, 20 Entec employees from across the UK ventured into the hostile territory of Knutsford, Cheshire for a covert mission that would test their combat skills to the highest level. All accepted the mission without hesitation and armed with a gun each, all the necessary safety equipment and a stylish all-in-one suit, the 20 recruits plunged into the wilds of Knutsford Paintball Centre with the objective of covering each other in paint.

In hot and fairly humid weather, each team organised ambushes, traps and full-scale assaults to achieve their aim of out-gunning the others but despite being blasted with Dulux’s finest, everyone emerged from the event smiling and unharmed.

Included in the day was a hearty barbecue provided by the Paintball Centre, over which the battle-weary troops exchanged tales of daring commando-style bravery and self-proclaimed nominations for Victoria Cross-style medals of honour. However, it was team spirit that won the day and the event provided a good opportunity to meet both new and old faces within Entec…then shoot them! As organiser Dean Meadows pointed out, “The day was excellent with a lot of good team bonding but best of all there were some very good battles!”
