PPC and the Water Industry Seminar, Austin Court, Birmingham

Entec has two speakers at the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management seminar on PPC and the Water Industry.

The one day seminar, held on 17 October 2003 at Austin Court, Birmingham, will provide delegates from the water industry, regulators, consultancies and government with the latest information in key areas of PPC.

Mark Watson, Principal Consultant, will cover what is needed in a PPC application and how best to put it together whilst Martin Luff, Principal Process Engineer, will describe the Best Available Techniques (BAT) for water industry PPC installations, including the principles of design, build, maintenance, operation and decommissioning.

Other speakers will be from the Environment Agency, providing background on the legislative and regulatory framework, and from Yorkshire Water and Wessex Water, highlighting the industry’s perspective on how the legislation should be implemented. Finally, a representative from Defra will be discussing how to deliver effective controls and enforcement measures for odour and other nuisance from sewage treatment works.
