Diggerland

In May, 14 staff members and family from the Entec Gosforth office visited Diggerland in County Durham. Diggerland is an adventure park offering visitors of all ages the chance to ride in, and drive, different types of construction machinery including JCBs, dumper trucks, excavators, mini diggers and giant diggers (all under strict supervision, of course). If this got a bit too much for the adults then there was always the opportunity to take a scenic trip round the park on the Dumper Train or alternatively go on a Landrover safari.

Thrills and spills aside, there were also great opportunities to take photos, or learn about the workings of the machines from the fully trained instructors who were constantly on hand to help and advise. Diggerland was an educational day out with a difference, not only could families learn about how these diggers work, children could also learn about road safety.

Diggerland is most children’s dream, lots of mud, noisy machinery and rides. Unfortunately however, the mud was in short supply due to the glorious sunshine though this didn’t seem to spoil anyone’s fun.

For the daredevils there was also the Extreme Excavator that spun around and went up and down. This ride was brilliant for the children but seemed to leave the adults feeling rather queasy. All in all everyone had a great day out at an adventure park with a difference.
