Entec at CIWEM 2006
Entec will be attending and presenting at the 4th Annual CIWEM Conference, ‘Emerging Environmental Issues and Future Challenges’ on 12th-14th September 2006. The event will be held at St James’ Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, the home of Newcastle United Football Club. Keynote speakers include Ed Gillespie, creative director at Futerra and Dr David King, director of water management at the Environment Agency.
Entec will be running a workshop on Tuesday 12th which will discuss ‘Balancing the water resources needs of the environment and society – how successful has the Habitats Directive been?’ The workshop features the following:
Entec will also be presenting 3 other papers at the event. Pete Davis and Sabrina Dann will jointly present on ‘Sustainable Implications of Additional Housing’ on Tuesday 12th. On Thursday 14th Paul Minto will be presenting ‘First time sewage treatment in the North Northumberland coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and Darren Hall ‘Principles in odour management and control’.
In an effort to reduce the carbon footprint of its events, CIWEM has joined the CO2mmitment Scheme and will be planting a tree for each participant attending its conferences and events.
