Ordinary Towns, Extraordinary Opportunities
Entec is sponsoring and presenting at the BURA Conference Ordinary Towns, Extraordinary Opportunities on 31st October and 1st November 2006 at the Ashford International Hotel, Kent. This two day event is a frank and practical exploration of the challenges facing most towns and small cities.
Day one will focus on the specific challenges and opportunities in Ashford and East Kent. Firstly, how is Ashford delivering growth in the context of the physical, social and political environment, how it is being resourced and what challenges and opportunities have been created. Secondly, what are the opportunities for the East sub region and how can they be harnessed?
Day two will open up the debate to look at the national challenge facing small and medium towns and cities across the UK. The aim is to exchange skills and knowledge to ensure the vision for your town is really deliverable, stitch together strategy across local borders to attract investment and to develop skills and other latent assets to future proof the future of your town.
Entec’s James Gross will be speaking on day two about everyday sustainability and the measures ordinary towns can adopt to add value and preserve an environmental legacy.
