Walter Robertson
Walter Robertson has over 20 years of environmental management experience gained through a variety of roles held in industry and environmental consultancy. He has a wide experience in contaminated land investigations, due diligence, risk and liability assessment, quantified risk assessment and design of remedial strategies. He is currently Director of Entec’s Contaminated Land Group and is a SiLC (Specialist in Land Condition), a registered auditor and a Chartered Geologist with an MSc in Hydrogeology from Birmingham University. He has also recently served as a director of the Cheshire and Warrington Economic Alliance; a sub-regional partnership of the NWDA..
He has directed major programmes
of environmental work with clients from private and public sectors; aerospace,
automotive, petroleum retailers, engineering,
chemical manufacturers/ distributors, distribution, power generators, transport,
commercial property developers, waste/minerals companies, financial institutions/banks,
local authorities. Significant contracts he has directed include the characterisation,
risk assessment and management of a large scale ground contamination, by
industrial solvents, and the environmental assessment and management of a UK
petrol retail
network. His early experience, in mineral and landfill development, provided
a contribution to multi-disciplinary planning teams and the provision of
Expert Witness at Public Enquiry.
