Entec currently has around 40 ecologists, ranging in grade from Technical Director to Assistant Consultant, and is in the process of recruiting further staff in this field to cover our growing workload. These staff are based at various offices around the country, but all are potentially available to provide specialist input as required.
Our ecology capability covers terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, and extends from baseline ecological survey to policy studies. Baseline ecological survey capabilities include:
However our key strength is in the application of baseline information - generated through field survey and research, and acquired through desk study and consultation - to the addressing of ecological and nature conservation issues. In this way we seek to achieve ways in which our clients can meet their environmental obligations without prejudice to the viability of their plans and projects. We work closely with other disciplines and the client, feeding back findings and advice to assist the planning and design process, and responding promptly to changes in circumstances.
